JAIMLAP (Joint Association of Independent Medical Laboratory and Professionals) is the one and only registered, independent, and non-governmental umbrella association dedicated exclusively to representing, protecting, and empowering medical laboratory owners and allied professionals across India.

Founded in 2017 in Punjab, JAIMLAP has evolved from a pioneering state organization into a formidable National Movement active across 18 States of India. From remote rural villages to bustling metropolitan centers, JAIMLAP defends the dignity, economic viability, and professional rights of independent diagnostic laboratories.

Exclusion of Pathology Laboratories from Clinical Establishment Act (CEA), 2019

When the Punjab Government prepared to implement the Clinical Establishment Act on diagnostic laboratories—threatening thousands of standalone and rural laboratory practices with forced closure—JAIMLAP mounted an unprecedented defense. Dr. Rajan Bector authored and submitted a monumental 425-page Objections & Suggestions document backed by scientific, international, and operational legal jurisprudence. Convinced by JAIMLAP's exhaustive technical representation, the Punjab Government officially EXCLUDED Pathology Laboratories from the CEA Act, securing the livelihood of thousands of practitioners statewide.

Historic Result: Thousands of independent laboratories saved from arbitrary closure and exorbitant compliance penalties.

Lowest Bio-Medical Waste (BMW) Collection Charges Across All Indian States

Prior to JAIMLAP's decisive intervention, medical laboratories in Punjab were subjected to an escalating fee of Rs. 1,400 per month with a mandatory 10% annual hike. State President Mr. Jagdeep Bhardwaj spearheaded high-level tripartite negotiations with state pollution authorities and government departments, securing a binding Punjab Government Order issued specifically in the name of JAIMLAP fixing charges at just Rs. 750/month fixed with zero escalation.
